Since its establishment in 1983, we have been steadfast in providing essential support and resources to individuals and families in need as a family resource center. Core to our mission are initiatives such as our Free Store, Emergency Food Pantry, Project Lift—an after-school program focused on bolstering self-esteem—and provision of safe and affordable housing through the Manor.
Kitten Angels

Kitten Angels is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping orphaned/abandoned kittens, mothers with kittens, and pregnant mothers receive socialization to become part of a forever loving home. Kitten Angels runs solely off adoption fees, fundraising and monetary donations.
Together for Youth

Together for Youth (TFY) strengthens children and families so they can live safely, independently, and productively within their home communities. Embracing a trauma-informed model of care across New York State, TFY provides responsive care right where children and families need it most, in their homes and communities. In 2023, more than 5,800 youth and families were served by TFY services.
Family and Children's Service of the Capital Region, D.B.A. Capital Counseling
Founded in 1813, Capital Counseling (CC) is one of the oldest continuously operating non-profits in America with a rich history of community service & social activism. Along with insurance-based services, CC is home to Capital EAP, The Center for Problem Gambling & a partnership with Federal Probation. Our mission is to provide excellent mental health counseling to individuals of all ages. Our highly trained therapists help those struggling to find solutions, insight & greater quality of life.
ABC Animal Rescue Inc
ABC Animal Rescue Inc was founded by Mary and Matt Doheny. We have been working alongside other rescue affiliates and volunteers doing transport, fostering and now we have taken on the adventure and commitment of rescue to adopt. We have strict policies in place for our fosters and an application process with extensive background check. We are also working alongside veterinarians to provide the best medical care possible. Our goal is to place healthy and happy dogs into forever home
Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York helps those affected by epilepsy overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and raises awareness of this disorder. We provide services in twenty-two counties covering the Capital Region, North Country, and Upper Hudson Valley. Services include information and referral, service coordination, seizure education and first aid training in schools, businesses, and to first responders, counseling, support groups, art therapy and advocacy.
Shenendehowas Helping Hands Food Pantry
We are a food pantry serving residents of the Shenendehowa & Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School Districts. We are an all volunteer organization and serve over 130 families each month. We are a 'client choice' pantry which means that our clients can choose their perishable and non-perishable foods, cleaning products and person hygiene items. We have been serving our community for over 50 years but we do not have our own 501c3. We are sponsored by the Jonesville United Methodist Church.
Capital Roots
Capital Roots works to reduce the impact of poor nutrition on public health in New York’s Capital Region by organizing community gardens, providing healthy food access, offering nutritional and horticultural education for all ages and coordinating urban greening programs in Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady and southern Saratoga Counties. Our mission is to cultivate and nourish communities by creating equitable access to fresh foods and green space in support of a robust regional food system.

Friends of Saratoga County Animal Shelter
The Friends of The Saratoga County Animal Shelter is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to providing financial and volunteer support to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter for the care and well-being of the animals that pass through the shelter.
Our main mission is to serve as a community outreach, to educate the public to the services provided by the shelter and to help homeless animals in our county find a new home.
Things of My Very Own, Inc.
Things of My Very Own provides crisis intervention services and long-term programs to children impacted by trauma. The majority of those we serve have been impacted by extensive abuse or neglect or are at risk of a child protective services intervention. It is our mission to keep children with non-abusive relatives and out of foster care when possible. The organization provides services to ~3,000 individuals annually in an 11-county coverage area.

Shelters of Saratoga
Shelters of Saratoga is a 501c3 human services organization whose mission is to meet the short-term and long-term basic needs of low-income adults facing housing instability and homelessness in Upstate New York. We provide 105 shelter beds through our year-round Emergency Shelter and Code Blue. For over 30 years, Shelters of Saratoga has been dedicated to transforming the lives of our neighbors facing homelessness with supportive services, safe shelter, and a path to independence.

Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga (THS) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization supporting second careers for retired racehorses in leading safe and meaningful lives. These horses improve the mental health & emotional wellness that strengthens our community through therapeutic programming and the horse-human connection. Bensons Cares
Bensons Cares mission is to keep pets in their homes by providing no cost pet food and supplies to local rescue groups and individuals in need of support. We currently donate to over 60 local groups and shelters along with individuals who have fallen on hard times and need assistance. We have raised funds and donated to help spay and neuter along with donations for major surgeries and to help alleviate their operating costs/bills.

VCHCs mission is to provide housing and support services to Americas heroes that are struggling with Homelessness and Hunger. VCHC firmly believes the words HOMELESS and VETERAN should never be in the same sentence. Together we can End Veterans Homelessness.
