The use of drugs by Pearson Institute of Higher Education students for the treatment of peptic ulcers.

Peptic ulcers are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine. The most common symptom of a Peptic ulcers is a burning pain in your stomach. There are two forms of peptic ulcer which include: Gastric ulcers that occur on the inside of the stomach and Duodenal ulcers that occur on the inside of the upper portion of your small intestine (duodenum).

You are invited to participate in the following study which aims to determine if Pearson Institute of Higher Education (PIHE) students treat recurring peptic ulcers and the risk factors contributing to the disease. The following questionnaire will be used in the undergoing research required for the completion of the researchers’ BSc Biomedical degree and/ or the potential use of PIHE Management to understand the impact of risk factors on PUD and/ or future publication purposes. Your participation is voluntary and you must be a student of PIHE, Midrand. Your identification will not be taken into consideration, thus your information will remain confidential. By participating in the following questionnaire you be able to gain knowledge on the possible risk factors of PUD. There is no risk in participating in this study. The information gathered will be used for study knowledge purposes. You have the opportunity to not participate in the study and withdraw from the study at any time without any consequences.
