Gacha Game, but it's more for a queer and female gaze

First, what is a Gacha Game?

It's a game genre, which is mostly present on mobile markets. A big part of these games is to collect different characters, usually conventionally attractive characters. Since the acquision is based on luck - similar to a pack of trading card games or a pack of stickers for a sticker album - trying to get a favourite character is thrilling and fun. There are other gameplay elements around these games (Genshin Impact, for example, allows you to run around in an open world, fight creatures, and more), but the gacha part describes the former mentioned gameplay loop of acquiring packs by playing the game or buying them, opening them, and hoping that the stars align.

What are we doing differently?

Cis hetero men are the core marketing demographic for these games - most games to be frank - while there are a lot of woman and queer gamers out there! And, to be fair, finding a character attractive is a big selling point for a lot of gacha game enjoyers to get a certain character, theres nothing wrong with being thirsty. But we believe, that a non-cis-hetero-male demographic both deserves their own game and are just as marketable.

Therefore we want to make a gacha game with androgynous characters, enbies, femboys and muscle mommies, and more. (If you can't follow me here, don't worry, you are probably not in our marketing demographic.)
